What You’ll Do:

The Sales and Marketing Assistant provides key support for Substantial’s Sales & Marketing teams by assisting with sales, business development and marketing activities and by providing direct support to our founder and other executives who play a key role in Substantial’s sales process. Your work will focus on the following key areas:

  • Support with lead generation and outreach activities
  • Support executives and Business Development Team with tracking long-term business relationships, ensuring that followup happens and is timely
  • Serve as an interface between the sales and marketing teams
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of marketing and business development events
  • Assist the marketing team with Substantial’s newsletter, blog, social media
  • Maintain a pristine CRM with accurate and current data
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate travel itineraries for the sales team and key executives

Who You Are:

  • An adept communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A highly organized person who is able to manage multiple work streams and excels at follow through
  • An adaptable individual who works well both collaboratively and independently
  • Someone with a love of learning and a desire to grow
  • A creative individual with an eye for aesthetics and design

You have the experience:

  • 1-2 years in a sales and/or marketing support role
  • A strong interest in sales, marketing, and the world of technology
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs
  • (Bonus) Experience at a startup or small to mid-size tech company
