It’s time to get excited about next month’s Seattle Interactive Conference. They recently released this year’s full agenda and we’re impressed by the topics to be presented and the wide cross-section of our community that’s represented. We’re also proud to have two speakers on the schedule this year, Adam Pearson, our CTO, and Dheyvi Velagapudi, our Director of Design. Here’s the synopsis of their talks. See you there!
Collaboration is Bullshit
“Collaboration” is a buzzing term in the creative industry, used to explain the benefits of tight teamwork between clients and internal teams. But we’ve heard from our clients that claims of being transparent and integrating teams from companies are often just lip-service or surface matters when it comes to working together. So, how do we get past the fluff and cut through the b.s.? Let’s talk about what real collaboration looks like and how we can dig in as teams to be more effective, efficient, and awesome.
I Am Not A Robot, Yet: How Data Is Killing Design
Designing for hundreds, thousands, or millions of people is a high stakes game where data provides us the safety and drive to make sure our work doesn’t fall short. But when we only look at the numbers, we’re eliminating one of the key things that helps us innovate and design greater – our creativity. So, how did we get here and how do we take back the ability to be creative in a world obsessed with data?
Seattle Interactive Conference will be held October 17-18, 2017 at The Conference Center. Tickets are available now.
