We’re excited for this year’s Seattle Interactive Conference. As the biggest event of its kind in the region, it’s always been a great opportunity to meet new people and share ideas.

This year we’re holding a workshop on assumptions, led by Dheyvi, our Design Director, and Mark, one of our lead developers. The full workshop description is below. Hope to see you there!

Assumptions: How to Not Make an Ass Out of You And Me

How many times have you found yourself in a difficult situation at work because you made an obvious call, but later found out it wasn’t so obvious? It’s happened to all of us.

We make assumptions all the time. They help us out in times of uncertainty and are useful when we’re in a pinch. But when we blindly follow them, they can lead us down the wrong path.

In this workshop, Dheyvi Velagapudi (Design Director) and Mark Kornblum (Lead Developer) will lead you through a series of exercises on how assumptions can be used to your advantage without causing destruction. They’ll show you tips on identifying when assumptions can help or hinder, when to challenge them, how to pivot around them, and how to use them to keep moving forward.

With this workshop, you’ll gain skills to take back to your office and use in all aspects of your professional life.

Tuesday, October 18 10:30am – 11:20am Level 3, Tahoma 1

Seattle Interactive Conference will be held October 18 & 19. Passes are still available.
