Zachary Smith: Design Thinking for Health Care - June 11
Zachary Smith, our VP of Technology, will introduce the Cambia Grove community to Design Thinking. Through a hands-on and experiential workshop, attendees will learn what Design Thinking is and how it is applicable to the challenge of innovation. This event will be a fast-paced and collaborative session with the goal of giving attendees fun new ideas and activities to take back to their teams and communities.
Mind the Product – June 4
Mind the Product is THE product management conference, and it’s finally coming to San Francisco. We bring together product leaders from around the world to explore the intersection of design, technology and business, inspiring you to build better products.
NeoCon – June 15-17
NeoCon is the largest commercial interiors show in North America, taking place at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago since 1969. NeoCon today remains the premier platform for connecting, learning and doing business in the industry. The three-day event attracts nearly 50,000 design professionals and showcases more than 700 leading companies.
E3 – June 16-18
E3 is the world’s premier trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products. At E3, the video game industry’s top talent pack the Los Angeles Convention Center, connecting tens of thousands of the best, brightest, and most innovative professionals in the interactive entertainment industry.
Seattle.rb Monthly Meetup – June 2
Seattle.rb was the first Ruby and Rails user group in North America and has met regularly for over a decade. We convene every Tuesday night to contribute to open source, work on personal projects, and teach and learn from one another. All skill levels are welcome!
Beer&&Code– June 10, & 24
Beer&&Code is a coder’s meetup in Seattle. A typical Beer&&Coder likes to use any programming language for work or for fun, enjoy a tasty drink, meet other Beer&&Coders and be a part of a community, and be challenged and learn from others. Whether you are new developer, a veteran, a designer, or none of those, you can hang out at Beer&&Code.
Design Thinking & Innovation Collective – June 26
Seattle Design Thinking & Innovation Collective aims to bring people together from a wide variety of industries, backgrounds and roles to collaborate and discuss practices, methodologies, tactics and experiences to help us collectively bring innovative ideas to the world.
2015 State of Technology Luncheon - June 5
Join more than 800 business, academic and government leaders at the premier annual event for Washington’s innovation community. The 2015 State of Technology Luncheon will feature a keynote presentation by Steve Singh, CEO at Concur.
Clean Sweep 2015 - June 10
Clean Sweep is a Capitol Hill tradition. For the past decade the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce has gathered neighborhood residents, business owners and their friends to do some Spring cleaning on the commercial streets of our neighborhood.
Generocity - June 10
Generocity, a night to learn, celebrate, and enjoy the non-profits and individuals that make our city the most generous on earth. This is your chance to meet nearly 40 Seattle-based nonprofits working to make a difference both locally and globally. Become a volunteer, donate your time, or simply revel in the amazing accomplishments of your fellow Seattleites that are changing the world.
Design for Good: Matchmaking Event - June 11
A movement to ignite, accelerate and amplify design-driven social change Design for Good is a platform to build and sustain the implementation of design thinking for social change. This platform creates opportunities for designers to build their practice, their network, and their visibility. This matchmaking event pairs design teams with food-focused nonprofits and organizations to execute on the projects defined in the Sprout and Paper Airplane events.
