Here’s a peek at our upcoming events for April. We’ll update this post as new things are added, but these are all listed on our events calendar as well. Most descriptions are from the events’ respective sites.

JumpStart is a panel discussion that marks the start of SSDX and serves as a means to help students and young professionals learn more about entering the design profession. Each year a diverse panel of design professionals for our community share valuable insights on the interview process, various career paths within the design industry, what design businesses look for in portfolios as well as future employees, and also offer useful tips for getting a job.
In this talk, AngularJS core contributor Marcy Sutton will highlight common accessibility challenges in single-page apps and discuss how Angular has begun supporting web developers with accessibility features baked right into the framework, proving that it’s never too late to start.
SSDX Studio Tours & Lectures are a chance for students and emerging designers to experience and see where designers work and what kind of design they practice. We all know that the work a digital studio does is sometimes very different from what an in-house team does, and is even more different from what a branding firm does. By allowing students into this world they can not only get a taste of what it is like to work professionally, but also what specifically their day to day life could be like.
