Seattle Interactive – October 15-16
The annual Seattle Interactive Conference is a two-day event celebrating the convergence of online technology, creativity, and emerging trends in one of the world's most innovative cities. SIC brings together entrepreneurs, developers and online business professionals from throughout the US and beyond for a powerful combination of in-depth presentations, networking opportunities, and uniquely Seattle social events. Attendees have the rare opportunity to explore disruptive technologies and business models with visionary thinkers and peers in areas ranging from online commerce and social media to gaming, interactive advertising, entertainment, and much more.
Women in Technology - October 18
As digital technology becomes fully integrated into our daily lives, the topic of Women in Tech comes up repeatedly. Collectively we continue to grapple with diversity and access to expression, platforms, and leadership in technology. At this event, guests will share their personal experiences in a collaborative presentation, offering their insight into gender parity and efficiency in the workplace, as well as its impact on community and leadership within companies and the public. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A.
SeaGL – October 24-25
SeaGL is a grassroots technical conference dedicated to spreading awareness and knowledge about the GNU/Linux community and free/libre/open-source software/hardware. The goal for SeaGL is to produce an event which is as enjoyable and informative for those who spend their days maintaining hundreds of servers as it is for a student who has only just started exploring technology options.
Seattle.rb Monthly Meetup – October 7
Seattle.rb was the first Ruby and Rails user group in North America and has met regularly for over a decade. We convene every Tuesday night to contribute to open source, work on personal projects, and teach and learn from one another. All skill levels are welcome!
Beer&&Code – October 1, 15, & 29
Beer&&Code is a coder's meetup in Seattle. A typical Beer&&Coder likes to use any programming language for work or for fun, enjoy a tasty drink, meet other Beer&&Coders and be a part of a community, and be challenged and learn from others. Whether you are new developer, a veteran, a designer, or none of those, you can hang out at Beer&&Code.
Refresh Seattle – October 22
Refresh Seattle is a community of designers and developers working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of New Media endeavors in the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Promoting design, technology, usability, and standards, Refresh Seattle is a part of Refresh and the associated Refreshing Cities.
Design Thinking & Innovation Collective - October 23
Seattle Design Thinking & Innovation Collective aims to bring people together from a wide variety of industries, backgrounds and roles to collaborate and discuss practices, methodologies, tactics and experiences to help us collectively bring innovative ideas to the world.
