Internet Week 2011

Internet Week, New York’s annual celebration of the city’s thriving Internet culture and community, is one of our favorite weeks of the year. Like SXSW, IWNY is full of the tech world’s best and brightest running around the city schmoozing and boozing, but Internet Week’s open model allows anyone to be a partner and throw an event, leading to hundreds of happenings all across the Big Apple. With everything from happy hours to workshops to kickball tournaments we can’t wait for this year’s IW, and not just because we’re their development partner.

With all that’s going on, Internet Week can be intense for even the most hardened online warrior, which is why we’ve redesigned the user experience to be even more customizable and allowed even more user participation. The new Make The Stage voting system allows the public to submit panel ideas and weigh in on which presentations they want to see at the official HQ. The enhanced interactive schedule allows attendees to create their own personalized, shareable itineraries for the week.

We’ll be all over the place during Internet Week, making new friends and asserting our dominance on the kickball field, so make sure you say hi. Hope to see you there!
